The floating Stockholm hostel af Chapman is definitely one of the most beautiful places to spend the night in Stockholm.
Like you, af Chapman has been all around the world. Built in England in 1888 and named Dunboyne. In 1915 she moved to Gothenburg and got the name G.D. Kennedy. In 1923, she was renamed af Chapman. She sailed for the last time in 1934.
In 1937 she was sold to the city of Stockholm for only 5000 SEK. Now a youth hostel since 1949. What a interesting life!
