Stockholm is know for it’s well preserved beautiful old city. Apart from a few years when well-meaning politicians destroyed the city center completely there is mostly a wish to build with a little bit of design consciousness in Stockholm. One result of this care for the city is that there are still not many highrise buildings in Stockholm. Building high building would change the very specific skyline of Stockholm in a very negative way.
Now there might be time to start a prize ceremony for the most ugly buildings in Stockholm and as a first prize contender we present you with this horrible new building close to the central station in Stockholm. It might be a fitting example of modern design placed in a completely wrong city.
