Stockholm e-Bikes are gone – latest update
Unfortunately we will probably not see a Stocholm city rental bike system for a long time again. The city has cancelled the contract for Stockholm e-bikes due to too many problems with the service.
One major problem was the bikes quality to withstand the constant mistreatment of the bikes. More often than not the bikes you tried to rent were broken in one way or another without the system alerting you to the problems.
Even though public transport in Stockholm is over par and Stockholm is a perfect city for walking we will definitely miss the rental e-Bikes.
