Call it global warning, climate crisis or what ever but these cute cherry blossoms don’t care. They believe that spring has come to Stockholm already in January.
Yes, in late January it’s a first for most people to experience cherry trees blooming right in what should be the most cold time of the year, late January and February in Stockholm. Maybe a good name to call these flowers would be Greta.
Let’s hope these small beautiful flowers will enjoy their short early flower season and that a lot of people will be happy to see such beauty right in the middle of winter.
On Sunday January 26 Stockholm had 7 degrees Celsius, apparently more than enough for the cherry flowers to enjoy life. Happy early Hanami!
